Poznań Supercomputing and Networking Center (PSNC) (http://psnc.pl), one of the leading research and development centres in Poland, has been strongly involved in the FIWARE programme (http://fiware.org) since its start. PSNC is committed to build a complete FIWARE ecosystem, and has so far provided FIWARE Lab infrastructure, funding and support for SMEs within a FIWARE A16 Acceleration Programme and established the Poznań Internet Innovation Hub (http://www.i3h.eu). To ensure a high level of FIWARE exploitation, PSNC works closely with key Future Internet stakeholders across Poland: Polish Ministry of Science and Higher Education, ICT National Contact Point, National Centre for Research and Development. Additionally, PSNC representatives are participating in several working groups on regional Smart Specialization Strategy for Wielkopolska.

As a growing number of SMEs funded by A16 Accelerators are bringing FIWARE-based products to the market, PSNC has decided to launch a commercial FIWARE node, providing these companies with a highly reliable infrastructure and support. FIWARE related services are going to be launched by the end of 2015 with an initial focus on SMEs from eHealth and mHealth areas. In the beginning of 2016, the node will be opened for all A16 SMEs and other companies interested in using a commercial FIWARE ecosystem to bring innovative Future Internet solutions to the market.

On top of FIWARE node, PSNC is planning to open its ICT laboratories to provide the most demanding entrepreneurs with advanced R&D services and tools including security testing, trainings or access to cutting edge IoT and Future Internet laboratories. The services will be provided by TechInnowacje, a company fully owned by PSNC and supporting the commercialization of PSNC’s projects results and technology transfer processes.
