Please have a look at the first ceFIMS-CONNECT August 2014 newsletter summarizing the key ongoing Future Internet (FI) developments and initiatives on European and Member States level. The main purpose of the newsletter is the exchange of information between Member States and European Future Internet initiatives.
This first issue contains updates on the Future Internet Forum of Member States and Associated Countries (FIF) and ceFIMS-CONNECT activities, national Member States and joint European Future Internet initiatives (e.g. FIRE, FI-PPP and 5G-PPP).
Also, you will find a summary of the 11th FIF meeting in March 2014 and an ad-hoc FI-PPP meeting with FIF national funding agencies in July 2014, as well as FI-PPP and 5G-PPP awareness events and national workshops held recently and upcoming.
The newsletter also presents two German national FI initiatives – the LTE-Advances testbed in Berlin and OKONET project – and highlights FIRE brochure and newsletter. Finally, it heralds the autumn period full of important Future Internet related events and open calls including FIRE SUNRISE and 16 open calls of the FI-PPP Phase 3 Accelerator project.
