SUMMARY
It is imperative to understand better the performance and capacity analysis of large-scale ad-hoc networks and cognitive wireless networks. This is necessary in order to develop better system conceptualisation and to provide fact based comparisons between different system architectures. This project will study different mathematical modelling methods for such capacity and performance analysis.

SOLUTIONS
- Developing a methodology which is, in the first phase, focused on using network information theory, stochastic analysis and topology (differential geometry) based methods
- Providing a strong methodological and theoretical basis for further work that tries to model whole wireless networks and architectures
