SUMMARY
Mobile multimedia data management is poses a great challenge to almost all non-functional requirements on future mobile information systems. Context- awareness and multimedia semantics are crucial approaches to meeting this challenge. Based on our prior results, the project focuses on developing mobile multimedia services with aspects of multimedia semantics and context awareness. Advanced hardware including the 3D outdoor scanner and the 3D object scanner will be integrated into the technological output to deliver high-quality multimedia data resources. Prototypes will be developed on different smartphones such as iPhone and Google G1 to prove the concept and demonstrate in practice.
