Context-Sensitive Algorithms for Content Management Platforms

_____________________________________________________________________

SUMMARY

The main objective of this project is to develop new content management solutions for online platforms. The project focuses on the design of multi-criteria algorithms which can be used to select the content server while taking into account the serve and user context, as well as the desired content.

The project proposes two innovative concepts which can improve existing content delivery systems . The first one involves a two-step server selection mechanism that, using context-sensitive algorithms, allows coordination between the service provider and the end user. The second concept combines the advantages of adaptation and operation of the “handover” for the content server .

The proposed system of delivering multimedia content will be able to function as a stand-alone client application without any modification relating to the requirements of the service provider.

SOLUTIONS

  • Developing a multi-criteria decision-making algorithm which defines the mechanisms used to select the content server as well as the specification of the double mechanism of adaptation.
  • Assessing simulation results in terms of system the prototype DISEDAN system.
  • Designing a library to allow the easy creation of client applications that utilise the innovative solutions generated in the project.
