SUMMARY
The main objective of this project is to expand and solidify social networks for senior citizen’s healthcare services through the use of Internet of Things technology. Specifically, the project aims to integrate home-based Smart devices with off-site professional service providers across the public and private sectors.

- Delivering an Internet of Things platform which integrates home-based Smart devices with professional service providers in an eHealth network

- Social interaction via video-calling and the provision of forums and other social channels to prevent loneliness
- Monitoring services enabling identification and prevention of health threats
- Safety services to reduce anxiety and fear
- Overall disease management and support tfor healthy lifestyles
- Prolonging independent living and extending active working life
- Involving multi-disciplinary stakeholders at different operational and financial levels to focus on integrating the platform into the eHealth value chain; methods for reliability, security and privacy assurance on an integrated platform; proof-of-concept integrated realistic test services across value chain; developing focused user interfaces suitable for the target end-user
