SUMMARY
The SEASTAR project seeks to address the increasing need for underwater communication systems with higher data rates over considerably longer distances. This project aims to gather experts from traditionally disjoint communities to investigate, define, and develop core technologies for underwater monitoring platforms and to build the first working demonstrator.
The research is expected to have utility in an abundance of industrial, environmental monitoring, oil/gas exploitation, and safety and security applications and consortium partners have concrete plans to use and disseminate obtained results and see direct benefit from applying the results
