_____________________________________________________________________

SUMMARY

This project focuses on the allocation of centralised and distributed resources in order to optimise the functioning of wireless communication systems.
The research project is being developed by the Information Processing and Systems group.

SOLUTIONS

  • Maximising the sum rate achievable with multiple transmitter and receiver antennas
  • Achieving a higher level of multi-user uplink to a given wireless systems
  • Developing transmitters and receivers for systems with low quality radio frequency
  • Optimising Cognitive Radio power-levels in order to improve quality of service
  • Optimising the choice of code and modulation for systems with Hybrid-ARQ retransmission where there is no knowledge of the channel of impulse UWB transmissions
