SUMMARY
The Lithuanian eHealth project aims to improve the delivery of healthcare to Lithuanian citizens through adopting leading-edge ICT solutions. The project will promote eHealth development thereby ensuring effectiveness, quality and accessibility of healthcare services for patients through the use of comprehensive, reliable, secure and timely patient-oriented health information exchange and modern information technology.

SOLUTIONS
- Creating and maintaining the national electronic health record, based on safe and reliable information exchange and storage.
- Continuing the formation of the national eHealth system (NESS) covering technical resources, data transmission infrastructure and data interchange standards, and safety.
- Creating and developing direct and indirect patient-oriented services (information exchange, consultation, registration, patient empowerment, etc.).
- Developing and maintaining the Information communication technology in national healthcare providers
- Securing reliable and safe data exchange.
- Developing medical imaging management and telemedicine solutions.
- Implementing modern solutions for information analysis and management, reporting and accounting.
- Disseminating eHealth potentials within different levels and promoting further education of eHealth users.
