Coordinating European Future Internet Research

CRAAX

_____________________________________________________________________

SUMMARY

The CRAAX lab actively participate in research into the area of advanced network architectures, nationally and internationally, in close collaboration with industry partners.

CRAAX’s aim is to conduct not only pure academic research which is often decoupled from industrial realities, but also to design and develop solutions with the potential of being adopted and deployed in real scenarios. The primary areas of research are: multi-domain/layer hybrid IP/Optical networks; routing security and management; platform design and development; and performance evaluation.

SOLUTIONS

  • Producing novel multi-domain/multi-layer hybrid IP/optical network architectures and protocols.
  • Researching Network management in heterogeneous multi-layer and multi-vendor IP/optical network architectures.
  • Investigating the Security aspects of the Internet routing system including Loc/ID Separation protocols.
  • Managing security in context of routing.
  • Constructing open and programmable environments for experimenting with new applications on top of network elements.
  • Monitoring and designing distributed measurement platforms.
  • Developing robust and intelligent control techniques for critical infrastructures.
