Coordinating European Future Internet Research

CORMORAN

_____________________________________________________________________

SUMMARY

The CORMORAN project seeks to develop innovative communication features and radiolocation based on these cooperative inter/intra-WBANs radio links. Wireless body area networks (WBANS), based on emerging wireless technologies, are in the process of becoming a central component of the Internet of Things. In this context, COMROAN seeks to be at the leading edge in the developing field of “co-operative” wireless communication, making it possible to provide redundant information, better coverage, and increased accuracy of location service.

SOLUTIONS

  • Developing techniques for the postioning of mobile body area networks and their constituent nodes
  • Ensuring that communication links adhere to quality of service standards at the protocol level
  • Dealing with issues of inter-WBAN coexistence, consumption and compatibility standard
  • Evaluating solutions under realistic scenarios through the development of suitable simulation and implementation platforms
