Coordinating European Future Internet Research

Cloud for Europe

_____________________________________________________________________

SUMMARY

Cloud Computing is becoming an accepted and widely utilised technology both for private and public organisations. The Cloud for Europe Project addresses the objectives of the European Cloud Partnership and offers partners the opportunity to determine how to adopt a well-defined European Cloud Computing Strategy for the Public Sector.

Over the course of three years, the project will build trust in European cloud computing by applying pre-commercial procurement (PCP) as an instrument for industry innovation and simultaneously enhance cloud adoption in the public sector. The Project is funded by the European Commission under its Framework Programme for Research and Innovation and brings together 24 partners from 11 countries.
