After last year’s successful experience, the 2nd running of Barcelona’s Smart City International Award is now open.

The prize, organized by the Barcelona City Council, is aimed at identifying solutions or projects that contribute to the overall improvement of the city management with the objective of making Barcelona a city of the future.

This year’s candidacies should offer solutions for: air quality, electric vehicle and public lighting system. International candidacies are more than welcome!

The winner will be awarded with the running for a year of a special pilot of the project in the 22@Barcelona innovation district and a financial help of €4,000.

The award ceremony will be again proudly hosted by the Barcelona Digital Global Congress 2011 edition.
