On ceFIMS horizon: Future Internet Week Budapest

The next major event for the ceFIMS project is the Future Internet Week, which takes place in Budapest on  May 16-19, 2011.

As well as supporting the meeting of the Future Internet Forum (FIF) of Member States, ceFIMS will also host its first Working Group workshop in Budapest and the project itself will be formally announced there.

Members for the Working Group are currently being nominated and selected, with the ceFIMS Steering Committee assisting in this task. The first workshop will examine a number of topics, including: Cloud Computing, Trust & Security, Internet-of-Things, Infrastructure of the Future Internet, and, Digital Government (e.g. pan-European eID, e-voting, mobility, etc.). Additional topics may be added as required, and all topics will be discussed in line the 2020 Digital Agenda, Innovation Union policies, and the FP8 stakeholder consultation process.

In addition, Budapest will also see the presentation of the second Future Internet Award.
