The aim of the project is to design and build a broadband receiver and recorder that will be used in the monitoring, capture and analysis of radio signals.

Context-Sensitive Algorithms for Content Management Platforms

The main objective of this project is to develop new content management solutions for online platforms. The project focuses on the design of multi-criteria algorithms which can be used to select the content server while taking into account the serve and user context, as well as the desired content.

The aim of this project is to design and implement efficient algorithms for the optimisation of optical communications access networks.

Ego: Virtual Identity

The Ego project aims to provide tools for people to create their own online virtual identities which automatically communicate their information and content needs and preferences to relevant Web sources.

Elastic Optical Networks

The main objective of the project is to develop innovative solutions for telecommunications transport networks compatible with new applications such as 3D video, clouds, etc. which place a demanding burden on bandwith. The technology output will be based on flexible optical network (known as elastic optical networks, EONs) equipped with a multi-domain and control plane.

The aim of the Near Field to Far Field Antenna Measurement (NF2FF) project is to develop and validate experimental methods for determining the radiation characteristics of antenna arrays in the far field.

Passive Optical Networks

The goal of this project is to explore the possibility of conducting WiFi signal transmission in passive optical networks of more complex architectures. The project team contends that in comparison with the usual configuration of the P2P, P2MP proposed optical configuration can reduce costs both by reducing the number of optical transceivers from the AP, and reducing the total length of fiber used.
