CESNET Large Infrastructure
The project’s main goal is to develop the Czech national research and education network into a rich infrastructure encompassing all information an communication components required by the research community to participate in European and worldwide research programmes and projects.

Control and verification of the complex properties of hybrid systems
The aim of the project is to support and extend cooperation between the Laboratory of Parallel and Distributed Systems (ParaDiSe) at the Faculty of Informatics, Masaryk University, and the research team at Hybrid and Networked Systems Lab (HyNeSs Lab) at Boston University, in order to conduct research into the control and verification of hybrid systems.

Exploiting Multi-Modal Data for Large-Scale Purposes
The project aims at exploiting large collections of unlabeled multi-modal data, mainly video footage, to further the development of state-of-the-art technology in video, audio and natural language understanding, interpretation, annotation and retrieval by combining unsupervised and semi-supervised learning.

IT for Knowledge Management
This project uses methods drawn from biological processes to process large amounts of weakly structured data. Methods gleaned from the study of natural phenomena allow processes and theoretical models to be utilised in the develop computational systems and algorithms capable of solving complex problems that cannot be solved (without difficulties) by traditional techniques.

This project focuses its research in the following three areas: 1. The analysis of temporary changes in privacy protection requirements for Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN) and proposal for scalable privacy protection protocols reflecting the changes.

RODOS 2
This project is working on applications which will predict flooding in an area several hours in advance and can rapidly identify traffic congestion in real time so tat traffic can be diverted away from the flooded area without causing traffic congestion in other areas.
